The new season is finally here. After a turbulent offseason, UConn men’s hockey is ready to take the ice for game action. On Friday, the Huskies will take on the Colgate Raiders in their season opener at 7:30 p.m. ET at Toscano Family Ice Forum.
Nearly every game will be broadcast on ESPN+ in the United States with just three exceptions — UConn’s trip to Holy Cross on Friday, Oct. 11 will only be available on FloHockey while there is no streaming information available for the Kwik Trip Holiday Classic in Milwaukee on Dec. 28 and 29.
The UConn Hockey Hub will provide coverage of the Huskies all season long online, while I’ll provide updates on Twitter @DanielVConnolly.

Roster moves
UConn dealt with significant roster turnover this offseason.
The Huskies have plenty of new faces, too.
State of the Program
After the most disappointing season in his tenure, head coach Mike Cavanaugh sat down with the UConn Hockey Hub to discuss the state of the program.
“It’s disappointing they didn't finish here at UConn…Not every relationship goes as planned.”
“We went back-to-back 20-win seasons and I felt like we were really on the uprise…We took a step back.”
“I think it got mental.”
“Ultimately getting to the national tournament is the next step. That's where we have to get to.”
