UConn enters regular season finale with Hockey East seeding on the line

The Huskies will earn a first round bye with a win and can still finish as high as third.

UConn men’s hockey is already assured of an NCAA Tournament bid but it’s still looking for its first Hockey East Tournament crown. The Huskies made the final in 2021-22 but fell to UMass in overtime.

The final weekend of the regular season is here and UConn is in a good place to avoid the first round of the single-elimination tournament. All it requires is a win over Vermont on Thursday.

No team has more than two games remaining and the season will be wrapped up by Saturday evening. Depending on how it shakes out, the Huskies can finish as high as third or as low as sixth.
