Analysis:
UConn doesn’t make any changes from Friday’s game.
Need to know:
The Huskies claimed a 6-1 victory over Merrimack at Lawler Rink yesterday. Harrison Rees (2-1—3) Carter Turnbull (8-3—1) both scored two goals while Vladislav Firstov (3-6—9) and Hudson Schandor (4-2—6) both found the back of the net as well.
The Warriors pulled starting goaltender Zachary Borgiel midway through the first period after he allowed two goals within a minute of each other. Jere Huhtamaa played between the pipes the rest of the way.
Merrimack’s Conor Lovett was suspended two games for a hit which sent Firstov flying head-first into the boards on Friday. The play resulted a major penalty for checking from behind and a game misconduct for Lovett.
