UConn men’s hockey has its first ‘06 commit: Colin Frank, a forward from Ladera Ranch, California. Listed at 5-foot-8, 163 pounds with a right-handed shot, Frank is set to begin his first full season in the USHL with the Dubuque Fighting Saints.

Last year, he led all 16U AAA players in scoring with 124 points on 55 goals and 69 assists with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U. He joined the Fighting Saints for six games at the end of the USHL season but did not record a point. This summer, Frank represented Team USA at the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and totaled three assists in five games.

Neutral Zone rates Frank as a 4.5-star prospect and the No. 22 player in the ‘06 birth year, a similar level to where current freshman Jake Richard ranked among his ‘04 peers.
