The first two weekends of UConn men’s hockey’s 2024-25 season will look slightly different than initially planned. The Huskies moved up their opening series with Colgate one day while the locations of the Holy Cross series have been flipped.
Due to a change in NCAA rules, the first official day of the season is now Friday, Oct. 4 instead of Saturday, Oct. 5. As a result, UConn and Colgate agreed to change its two-game set to the traditional Friday-Saturday slot as opposed to Saturday-Sunday. Both games will still take place at Toscano Family Ice Forum in Storrs with puck drop to be announced.
The following weekend, the Huskies will now play at Holy Cross on Friday before hosting the Crusaders on Saturday. It was originally the other way around but Holy Cross requested the change due to a scheduling conflict. Neither game has a start time yet.
