After a 3-0 win on Friday in Boston and a 1-0 triumph on Saturday in Storrs, UConn women’s hockey has won four straight thanks to its weekend sweep of then-No. 13 Northeastern.
The Huskies (5-3-1) made a statement by sweeping Hockey East’s preseason top pick. They’re now back in the national rankings, coming in at No. 12, and second in the league standings with 13 points.
Senior forward Jada Habisch scored once in each game, taking the lead in goals scored on the team with four.
The Minnesota native is tied for second on the team in points with six. She got her first goal seven minutes into the game on Friday night, before Brianna Ware went top shelf on the power play to make it 2-0. Brooke Campbell added an empty netter to secure the program’s first win over Northeastern since the 2017-2018 season.

Goaltenders Megan Warrener and Tia Chan each got a start and combined to shut out the other Huskies, facing 23 and 22 shots, respectively. On Saturday, the two teams played to a scoreless tie until late in the third period. Riley Grimley and Habisch took advantage of a 2-on-1 situation which Habisch finished to score the game-winning goal.
Fifth-year forward Coryn Tormala leads the team with seven points after notching an assist on Friday. Chan has been playing the most in net, starting six games and logging 367 minutes while Warrener has started three games, logging 172 minutes.
Next up, the Huskies have two games at Maine, a team sitting tied for last place in the conference with six points. UConn’s next home game is November 17th against Holy Cross at the Toscano Family Ice Forum.
