UConn men's hockey unveils 2023-24 schedule

The Huskies will play nearly twice as many games at Toscano Family Ice Forum compared to the XL Center.

UConn men’s hockey’s 2023-24 schedule is finally out. The Huskies will open on Friday, Oct. 6 at Colgate and close the regular season on Mar. 7 against Vermont at home. In between, they’ll play 34 games — 17 which will come on home ice — with no road trip further than the bi-annual trek to Maine.

In the non-conference, UConn will take on Colgate (two-game road series on Oct. 8-9), Holy Cross (home-and-home on Oct. 13-14), Union (Oct. 20-21, both on the road), Dartmouth (Nov. 25 at XL) and Harvard (Dec. 31 at Toscano), as well as Sacred Heart and one of Quinnipiac and Yale in CT Ice, which will take place Jan. 26-27 at the XL Center.

Hockey East play kicks off for the Huskies on Oct. 27 at UMass Lowell. UConn will play every team at least twice with an additional third game against Maine, UMass and Vermont.

After spending 10 of their first 13 games on the road, the Huskies will travel just seven times for the final 21 contests of the regular season. In a stretch between Jan. 12 and Feb. 2, six of seven games will be held at one of the team’s two home venues.

UConn will play 11 games at Toscano Family Ice Forum in Storrs and six at the XL Center in Hartford — including the pair during CT Ice.

The regular season concludes with the lone midweek contest on the slate: Thursday, Mar. 7 against Vermont in Storrs.
