Through four games, UConn seems determined to learn every lesson the hard way
After a poor showing by the Huskies in a 4-1 loss to Colorado College on Saturday, head coach Mike Cavanaugh is demanding urgency.

A quiet anger radiated from UConn head coach Mike Cavanaugh following his team’s 4-1 loss to Colorado College at home on Saturday night. On paper, a series split with the No. 12 team in the country hardly qualifies as a bad weekend. But the manner in which the Huskies lost the latter contest didn’t sit well with Cavanaugh.
“The weekend just exposed some areas where we’ve got to get better, that’s it. Because I consider us to be a top-tier program as well, so there's not any consolation splitting a weekend just because they're a good team,” he said. “And they are a really good team, but our expectations are to win both this weekend and we didn't — especially after we won last night.”
