For most of the last month, UConn men’s hockey couldn’t buy a goal. The Huskies hadn’t scored in the first period since their opening weekend and only managed more than two goals just once over their previous seven games entering Saturday night.

Starting with a goal by Tristan Fraser, followed by two in quick succession from Matthew Wood, the Huskies flipped a 2-1 deficit into a 4-2 lead, which they rode to a 5-2 win that earned them a series split with the Vermont Catamounts.
