Poor night from offense, special teams sink UConn against BU

The Huskies were held to season-lows in shots and goals by the Terriers, who scored a game-deciding two power play goals on Saturday night.

After a record-tying win at No. 4 Boston University the previous night, UConn couldn’t come up with an encore performance for its home crowd on Saturday. The Huskies’ offense, which netted eight goals in the series opener, along with the special teams units struggled in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Terriers at Toscano Family Ice Forum.

“It was disappointing that we weren't able to find a way to win that game and sweep the weekend,” head coach Mike Cavanaugh said postgame.
