Poor finishing haunts UConn in 4-2 loss to Ohio State
The Huskies had no trouble generating dangerous chances on net, they just couldn't find the back of the net.

At the end of UConn and Ohio State’s two-game series this weekend, both teams could probably argue they deserved a sweep instead of a split.
For the Buckeyes, they had a 2-1 advantage in grade-A chances on Friday (at least according to UConn head coach Mike Cavanaugh), then allowed the two game-deciding goals during a second period in which they out-shot the Huskies 11-5. They still nearly forced overtime with a strong push in the final minutes.
As for UConn, it’s all about finishing. The Huskies had plenty of dangerous, open chances on net all weekend. They just couldn’t bury them.
Given all that, a split is a fair outcome for both sides.
