UConn men’s hockey’s NCAA Tournament matchup is set. The Huskies will take on the No. 3 overall seed Michigan State Spartans in the Worcester Regional on Thursday, March 26 at 1:30 p.m. ET. ESPN2 will have the broadcast.

This will be the first-ever matchup between the schools. Michigan State holds a 25-8-2 record and won the Big Ten regular season title but lost in the semifinals of the conference tournament to Ohio State. The Spartans enter the NCAA Tournament with just one win in their last five games.

Under head coach Adam Nightingale, Michigan State has made three straight NCAA Tournament appearances. All-time, the Spartans have been the Frozen Four on 11 occasions and won three national championships, with the last of each coming in 2007.

The other matchup in the Worcester Regional is between Dartmouth and Wisconsin.
