More of the same from UConn in "frustrating" loss to Boston College

The Huskies' latest defeat resembled plenty of others this season.

UConn men’s hockey’s 3-0 loss to Boston College on Saturday night epitomized the team’s season so far. The Huskies controlled possession, had the edge in shots on goal and played well for 60 minutes — but they couldn’t score and lost.

It’s a story that’s repeated time and time again since October — against Holy Cross, Union, UMass Lowell and now Boston College.

“It was a frustrating game because I thought we deserved better,” head coach Mike Cavanaugh said postgame. “I thought we put a lot of pressure on them for 60 minutes, we battled hard and couldn't find a way to get a puck past [BC goalie Jacob] Fowler tonight.”
