More dates are out on UConn men’s hockey’s 2024-25 schedule, including details for the longest in-conference road trip of the season.

The Huskies will play three games against Maine this season: Two in Orono on Jan. 17-18 and one in Connecticut on Feb. 22. Those road games will come in the heart of winter, meaning cold and snow will be a concern.

Elsewhere in Hockey East, UConn’s two games at UMass Lowell will be on Nov. 22 and 23. The River Hawks only released their home slate, so the date of the return trip to Connecticut is still unknown.

In non-conference play, the Huskies will take on Holy Cross in the second weekend of the season once again. They will travel to Worcester on Friday, Oct. 11 and return home the next day, Saturday, Oct. 12.

Since non-conference series often stay in the same weekend year-to-year, there’s a good chance UConn begins the new campaign with Colgate on Oct. 5-6 at home — especially since the Raiders don’t have a conference game that weekend.

There are now 17 dates out on the Huskies’ slate, which means about half of it has been revealed. Some of the big questions that remain:

  • When do they travel to Vermont for one game?

  • When’s the first home game of the season?

  • Which games will be at the XL Center?

UConn is still sorting out the latter question, which is part of the reason it hasn’t released its own schedule.
