The Huskies take on the hottest team in the country in a Tuesday night showdown at the XL Center.
UConn men’s hockey will look to build on its overtime win over the UNH Wildcats on Saturday when it takes on the No. 19 Merrimack Warriors on Tuesday night at the XL Center.
This is the second consecutive week the Huskies have faced the CHN Team of the Week. UNH held the honor last week, Merrimack has it now.

UConn lines
What to know:
Hudson Schandor (non-COVID health issue) and Jarrod Gourley (lower body injury) are both out. Gourley is a new addition to the injured list.
Jake Flynn moves into the defensive pairings to replace Gourley next to Roman Kinal while John Wojciechowski takes the extra skater spot.
Jake Veilleux is in the lineup for the third straight game. He and Sasha Teleguine get the nod over Cassidy Bowes.
Darion Hanson led UConn out of the tunnel for warmups, indicating he’ll start in net. Freshman Logan Terness got the nod in the Huskies’ last midweek action at AIC on Jan. 11.
Associate head coach Joe Pereira will be back on the bench tonight after missing both games this past weekend while on a recruiting trip.

Notes:
Hugo Ollas seriously looks like a mythical creature on the ice. He’s HUGE.
Ollas led Merrimack out of the tunnel, so it looks like he’ll start in net.
