Lines: Matthew Wood makes debut at center in season opener
The first lineup of the season features a handful of surprises.

UConn men’s hockey’s season kicks off on Monday night against Colgate at Class of 1965 Arena in Hamilton, New York. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

Analysis:
Matthew Wood will make his UConn debut at center. Hudson Schandor, Samu Salminen and Tristan Fraser will be the Huskies’ other face-off men.
Jake Black and Ryan Tattle claim the final two spots in the lines, while Joey Muldowney edges out Jake Veilleux at the extra skater spot.
Jack Pascucci beat out Owen Simpson on defense.
No word yet on who will start in goal.
