UConn men’s hockey lost redshirt freshman defenseman Kevin Fitzgerald to the transfer portal on Monday. A native of Bath, Ontario, he appeared in 16 games last season, totaling one goal and two assists.
Fitzgerald arrived in Storrs as part of the Huskies’ 2024 recruiting class but missed his entire true freshman campaign with a torn ACL. This past year, he appeared in 13 of the first 14 games but then lost his spot in the lineup. Fitzgerald only dressed for three contests the rest of the way after fellow freshmen Brendan Dunphy and Anthony Allain-Samaké passed him on the depth chart.
Fitzgerald is a defensive defenseman with speed who should find a nice landing spot elsewhere. He was well-regarded within the program, too.
Now, UConn has three spots open on defense with Fitzgerald, Viking Gustafsson Nyberg (signed with Minnesota Wild) and Tom Messineo (graduation) all out the door. The Huskies will likely add three incoming freshmen to replace them.
Gray Hair? This Is How You Reduce It Naturally
Most men dealing with gray hair have two options: live with it or dye it. Dye works, but it has a tell. The roots. The uniformity. The fact that it looks like something you did rather than something you have.
But now there is a third option: Particle Anti-Gray Serum. A daily spray that works at the root to gradually restore your natural color — hair and beard — without dye, without mess, without anyone knowing you're doing anything at all. Premium ingredients. Clinically researched. Thirty-day guarantee. Over 1,000,000 men use Particle because the results look like them.
