Exclusive: Ryan Tverberg officially on-campus, but unavailable today due to quarantine

UConn men’s hockey’s newest addition is in Storrs, but will have to wait to officially join the team. Ryan Tverberg finally arrived on-campus now that the fall semester is over but must complete a mandatory quarantine before he can begin practicing with the team, a source told the UConn Hockey Hub.

He has not officially been added to the Huskies’ roster.

With how much UConn has struggled to score this year, Tverberg will have plenty of opportunities to earn playing time early in his career.

“I think he’s gonna provide us with a little depth upfront,” Cavanaugh said ahead of the UMass Lowell game. “He skates extremely well played, plays gritty, offensively he can be dynamic at times. He’s a seventh round pick of the Toronto Maple Leafs this year. So he’s a kid that we’re excited to be bringing into the program.”
