On Tuesday, SNY announced the start times for the 2024 Connecticut Ice tournament. UConn men’s hockey will play Sacred Heart in the early game at 4 p.m. ET on Friday, Jan. 26 followed by Quinnipiac and Yale at 7:30 p.m. ET or one hour after the the Huskies and Pioneers finish up.

The championship will be held the next day at 7 p.m. ET (or an hour after the previous contest) with the consolation game beginning earlier at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The tournament will be held at the XL Center for the first time. Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport played host for the first two years before it moved to Quinnipiac last year. Currently, the plan is for the event to rotate between the four school’s home rinks, though UConn head coach Mike Cavanaugh has pushed for it to be played at the XL Center each year.

SNY will broadcast the games, just as they’ve done during the three previous iterations. Tickets are now on-sale at UConnTickets.com or through each school’s respective ticket office.

The Huskies have reached the final each of the last two seasons, but fell to Quinnipiac both times. Sacred Heart won it back in 2020.
